Little somethin for my late 80’s early 90’s peeps out there. Mario Brothers 3 was the all time greatest game for the NES. What better way to carry on the Mario legacy than to pass it on in Photoshop Brush form? The image in this post includes every brush in this set. From jumping Mario, standing Mario, walls, turtles, etc…. It’s all there. Enjoy.

I guess you can lump me in with the “Questioning” community after getting elbow deep in staight up girl design. Every-so-often while designing this theme I had to take a trip to the bathroom mirror and take a look at the dirty unkempt unshaven mass of male that looked back at me just to snap out of the estro-zone I was finding myself in at every turn.
“Oooh I like the way that looks when I add this here” I would say with a slight lisp as I got in character in order to pull of a barely authentic female piece. “Those lemons are just fabulous.” I have no more self respect. And you’re the beneficiary.

This blog theme was intended for a client at one point… but when she snapped and went stark raving mad I had no choice but to pull the plug. Anyway, it’s shiny, it’s clean, and it’s ready for your gentle touch. Again, it’s in Photoshop format because I reserve the time it takes to make wordpress templates for actual paying peeps. I’ve been meaning to post these Photoshop templates of mine for a while now. They do me no good just sitting unused on my PC. I’m too lazy to actually create the blog template for you, but if you need any help integrating it into your site give me a holla. This particular template is nothing fancy but I rather fancy the colors and layout. It’s obviously meant as a travel blog template, but it’s a Photoshop file so have at it. Anyone who uses CSS based design knows about the joys of IE compatibility. I just recently set out to find older versions of IE to test my sites compatibility with the older browsers. It’s next to impossible to run parallel installs of different versions of IE because of its integration into the OS, but why install when you can run it right out of the box, install free? Attached to this post is a zip file containing IE 5.01, 5.5 and 6. This will allow you to install and start testing version 7 but still be able to refer back to previous more common versions until 7 hits the mainstream.

There is a fantastic old browser archive located here: http://browsers.evolt.org

Ahhh, let me count the ways…. I’ll save you a long drawn out sappy explanation as to why Firefox is my browser of choice. It’s the extensions, that’s it, nothing more complex than that. Click the image below to view my favorite extensions, ALL of which I use regularly. For you web developers out there, get Aardvark. It is a MUST have for troubleshooting CSS based web layouts. No more border: 1px solid red; to find layout discrepancies. Oh, and Foxmarks bookmarks synchronizer? Genius, pure genius. Simply register with the foxmark sync service, install the extension on any Firefox installation you use at work, home, etc… and your bookmarks will be sync’d up automatically and transparently. It’s nuts. Anyway, check it:

I’ve installed a gallery that you can access by using the link on the left menu. At some point in the near future, this gallery will include all of my web portfolio pieces, personal photography projects, and royalty free photos available for purchase for a minimal fee (somewhere between 5 bucks and 50). To kick off the launch of the gallery I have made available the first set in my series of PC Component photos. These images are just samples such as the image above, click here to see the gallery. Full hi-res (10×14 inch, 2592 x 1944px, 150dpi) copies will be provided upon purchase. Inquire here for purchase info.

Someone take this camera out of my hands so I can get some work done. Here are some PC component brushes to use in that tech web site you can’t find the right images for. I have hi-res versions of the images that I will be posting in my gallery if anyone wants to purchase some royalty free versions of these in full color. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.

Grunge#2 is a bit more of a creepy grunge than the previous GrungySteel, even though one of the images I used was the remnants of a bowl of cocoa puffs in the sink, I’ll let you figure out which one I’m talking about.

I took some photos for a college project a while back and figured they would make good brushes. Use em’ to add a little something to your images, forum signatures, whatevah.
