Photoshop Brushes: Brick Wall

Attached to this post you will find a brush for Photoshop 7 that I created out of some photos I took because of their unique texture. You can see samples of the brushes by clicking on each of the thumbnails below. FYI I will soon be posting a tutorial on the really simple process of creating a photoshop brush out of your own photos.

MyNextThirtyYears.com

I think I made like a buck 50 an hour on this blog I just finished for my Sister when it was all said and done. But that was my own fault. I would have done it for free anyhow because it gave me a chance to let loose with a grungy look that I hadn’t done on a large scale like this before. We went for the whole worn-out Hawaiian beach effect and I think it ended up looking pretty good. Many times throughout the process I had to go put the toilet seat up & scratch myself in discreet places just to remind myself that I’m not a thirty year-old lady from Hawaii. Ultimately, the risk to my manhood by designing such a “sensitive” piece was well worth it.

photoshop tutorials in the pipe

Come to think of it, it’s sort of lame just posting and saying, “Hey, I will be posting these tutorials soon!” But I just built this template and I need to start testing the functonality so back off. I’m going to start my batch of tutorials with the few techniques that I use most frequently, they are as follows:

Creating a perfectly smooth vector shape or signature (such as in my logo) using a thick sharpie marker, and scanner

Eyepopping glossy effects

Create Photoshop brushes out of your own photos

Make your digital photos more vivid and artistic
